Odd-Maker's Dice

Bookie’s Dice – a Liar’s Dice variant for #UntestedThursday
Components
- Five dice per player and an opaque rolling cup
- Two “voting” cards for each player: challenger and challenged.
- Poker chips; everyone should start with perhaps $100.
Play
Mostly as in your preferred ruleset – Everyone rolls secretly and bids, until someone challenges. Then the variant changes things:
The challenger and the last roller (the challenged) form two teams. Everyone else chooses a team by placing one of their cards on the table, face-down.
Reveal and count the dice to determine a winner, as in the normal game. However, instead of removing one of the loser’s dice, each player on the losing team pays each player on the winning team a chip.
Example: I call four 6s, and the next player challenges. Three other players side with the challenger, but when the cups are lifted, I’m right! They all pay me a chip (so I gain $4). If I was wrong, I’d have to pay everyone else a chip (losing $4; the other players would each gain $1).
End
When one person runs out of chips, the player(s) with the most chips left win.
